It can be used on raw wood or after staining.  

Can be tinted with water soluble trans tints and dyes to accent the grains and pores to help attain your desired look.

When painting over cabinets, we recommend using Aqua Coat White Cabinet Grain Filler.  It has more visibility than the clear, better adhesion, and higher solids performing better in less coats saving you time!
